CTSOs are intracurricular organizations with leadership programs and competitive events helping students see the real-world value of their academic studies.


Georgia DECA Gives Back!

Georgia DECA Gives Back! This year Georgia DECA selected Bert’s Big Adventure as their State Community Service Project. Chapters were able to raise over $25,000. They held many different events and promotions, one chapter even had a princess breakfast! The Bert Show gave GA DECA a shoutout on the radio during their State Conference when the kids were leaving for Disney World and plan to put Georgia DECA’s information on the Bert Show’s website under their Partners Page.

2019 State Officer Training

The 2019 State Officer Training Event included lessons in advocacy, public speaking, and etiquette. The students had the opportunity to foster financial literacy skills and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential. They also had the opportunity to visit the State Capitol and tour the Georgia Department of Education. (Picture-May 2019 Day at the Capitol)

2019 Georgia CTSO Legislative Expo

The 2019 Georgia CTSO Legislative Expo is held at the state Capitol, and allows the State Officers from our CTSOs to meet with legislators, constitutional officers, members of the Georgia Department of Education staff and the GACTE Board of Directors. The goal of the Legislative Expo is to increase awareness of the important work of Georgia Career and Technical Student Organizations across the state and to thank legislators for their support

2016 Summer State Officer Training

The 2016 Summer Training event included business and industry partner tours at Georgia Public Broadcasting and Cortland Partners. We also toured the Georgia Department of Education and the State Capitol.


The 2015 CTSO State Officer Training was held on June 5-8, 2015 at the FFA FCCLA Retreat Center in Covington, GA. Almost 80 state officers representing seven different CTSOs attended this valuable training which the Georgia Department of Education considers “instrumental” to the successful start of the State Officer journey. The goals of summer training include: teambuilding, public speaking, communication skills, and leadership development.


The 2014 Superintendent's Recognition was held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at the Georgia Department of Education. State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge recognized the outstanding achievements of 27 national winners and 3 state officers from the 2013-2014 academic season. Congratulations to all of these winners! A complete list of CTSO state and national winners can be found on each CTSO website respectively.


On January 3-4, 2014, the state officers from the Georgia CTSOs that are managed in the CTE Division gathered together at the FFA FCCLA Retreat Center for leadership training. Rhett Laubach, owner of Your Next Speaker, focused on personal leadership insight, advocacy, and crisis management. The weekend ended with a luncheon featuring guest speaker Representative Terry England.
